Putin says government mulls further support of entrepreneurs
MOSCOW, Sep 8 (PRIME) -- Support of entrepreneurs beyond the preferential period imposed to fight the consequences of the coronavirus pandemic is discussed with the government, Russian President Vladimir Putin said during an online conference on Tuesday.
“As to support of entrepreneurs, when the preferential period finishes, we are discussing additional steps with the government,” he said.
In June, Putin suggested allocating additional 100 billion rubles to the program of easy-term loans with an interest rate of 2% annually for companies retaining jobs.
Putin also ordered the government to check compliance with the ecological standards while implementing large investment programs, and ordered Finance Minister Anton Siluanov to allocate necessary funds to the flood-hurt Irkutsk Region in time.
“Dams and other facilities must be constructed fully and timely, 11 of them, as far as I remember. More than 5 billion rubles are to be allocated for the purpose, including around 1.1 billion rubles from the regional and 4 billion rubles from the federal budget,” he said.
